The Status 2 is a versatile mountain bike designed to excel across multiple riding disciplines. Whether you're tackling trails, hitting the bike park, cruising to the local spot, or sessioning street features, the Status 2 adapts to your riding style and terrain. Each Status 2 is built with a super strong M5 alloy chassis and tough alloy wheels, paired with stout suspension, powerful brakes, and popular drivetrain options. This combination is engineered to catch big hits, pedal smoothly, and provide excellent stopping power for riders who push the boundaries of progression. Before delivery, every Status 2 receives a special shock tune from Specialized's Ride Dynamics team—experts dedicated to mountain bike suspension. The shock characteristics are specifically designed to complement the new Status 2's kinematics perfectly. The Status 2 features flip chips located on the Horst pivot link near the rear axle, allowing you to fine-tune the frame's geometry to match your preferred ride style or terrain. Bikes ship in the high position but can be flipped to lower and slacker geometry, offering 8mm lower bottom bracket height and half a degree slacker head tube angle.
