The Tarmac SL8 is the world's fastest race bike, combining aerodynamics, lightweight construction, and ride quality in an uncompromising package. After eight generations and over two decades of development, it delivers speed that matters on the routes that count - 16.6 seconds faster over 40km, 128 seconds faster over Milan San Remo, and 20 seconds faster over the Tourmalet climb. Aerodynamic design is integrated throughout the frame, with the new Speed Sniffer nose cone and a sharpened head tube leading edge created by moving the steer tube back. The narrowest, most aerodynamic seat post ever made ensures clean airflow around the legs. The frame weighs just 685 grams - 15% lighter than the Tarmac SL7 - while maintaining UCI minimum weight standards with a full aero setup. The Tarmac SL8 achieves a 33% improvement in stiffness-to-weight over the SL7, delivering stiffer pedaling and more precise handling at the bars. The bike provides 6% more compliance in the saddle, floating over rough roads with a supple feel while maintaining legendary handling and World Championship-proven geometry. The proven geometry and 32mm tire clearance are identical to the SL7, allowing easy adaptation and versatility for higher volume tires. Rider-First Engineering ensures every rider, regardless of size, experiences the same unprecedented ride quality and handling. The bike is spec'd with a complete Shimano Dura-Ace 9200 series Di2 groupset featuring a dual-sided power meter, paired with Roval Rapide CLX III tubeless-ready wheels. All S-Works Tarmac SL8 models include a Roval Rapide cockpit for weight savings and the fastest possible leading edge. Apple Find My technology is integrated in the 4iiii power meters for bike location tracking.

AERO IN EVERYTHING

AERO IN EVERYTHING

After a decade of working in the Win Tunnel, our engineers put aero where it matters, not just where it looks good. The result? A new Nose Cone called the ‘Speed Sniffer’ helps the new Tarmac SL8 be 16.6 seconds faster over 40km than the Tarmac SL7. And yes, more aero than the Venge.

Minimum Weight, Maximum Aero

Minimum Weight, Maximum Aero

We saw how the lightest production road bike in the world - the Aethos - could marry blistering response in the mountains with a supple, all-day ride. The Tarmac SL8 took those learnings from Aethos to be easily built at the UCI minimum with a full aero set up.

Goes Like Hell, Rides Like Heaven

The Tarmac SL8 delivers a massive 33% improvement in stiffness to weight vs the SL7, all while being 6% smoother in the saddle. With World Championship proven geometry and 32mm tire clearance, it adds up to an unprecedented ride quality.

Creating a bike more aerodynamic, 15% lighter, with a 33% improvement in stiffness-to-weight than the 4X World Championship winning Tarmac SL7 took more than an obsessive commitment to Innovate or Die. Our engineering team created an entirely new process.

Since day one at Specialized, the rider has been the boss, so the best all arounders in the world - Remco Evenepoel, Demi Vollering - had a hand in developing and refining the Tarmac SL8. Ultimately, we co-created the fastest race bike in the world.
