The Tarmac SL8 represents the culmination of over two decades of development, combining aerodynamics, lightweight construction, and ride quality in a way previously thought impossible. Through race simulations using real-world data, the Ride Science team has proven the Tarmac SL8 is the fastest race bike ever made, delivering 16.6 seconds faster times over 40km, 128 seconds faster over Milan San Remo, and 20 seconds faster over the Col du Tourmalet climb. This limited edition S-Works Tarmac SL8 celebrates the launch of the lightest disc brake group ever made. Only 300 units are available worldwide, each individually numbered, finished in a gorgeous Glacial Metallic color with custom Roval graphics, silver accents, and the new Hammerhead Karoo 3 cycling computer. Aerodynamic design is integrated throughout the frame, with the new Speed Sniffer nose cone and a sharpened head tube leading edge created by moving the steer tube back. The narrowest, most aerodynamic seat post ever made ensures clean airflow around the legs. The frame weighs just 685 grams—15% lighter than the Tarmac SL7—while maintaining UCI minimum weight standards with a full aero setup. The Tarmac SL8 achieves a 33% improvement in stiffness-to-weight over the SL7, delivering stiffer pedaling and more precise handling while providing 6% more compliance in the saddle for a supple ride over rough roads. The proven geometry and 32mm tire clearance are identical to the SL7, with Rider-First Engineering ensuring every rider gets the same unprecedented ride quality and handling regardless of size. The bike is spec'd with the all-new SRAM RED AXS groupset featuring a power meter, paired with Roval Rapide CLX II tubeless-ready wheels and a Roval Rapide cockpit for maximum weight savings and aerodynamic advantage.
