The frameset is highly personalizable, allowing riders to dial in geometry and setup to match their riding style and terrain. The breakthrough innovation on this frameset is GENIE shock technology, a patent-pending air spring system that combines the feel and control of a coil spring with the progressive spring rate of an air spring. This dual-stage design provides better bottom-out prevention than a standard air spring while maintaining a tunable, playful platform. GENIE delivers 16.3% better bump force management than traditional air springs, allowing the 145mm rear travel Stumpjumper 15 to absorb impacts comparable to bikes with significantly more travel. Traction performance is a key strength, with GENIE technology delivering 57% better traction than standard air-sprung shocks by maintaining supple, coil-like performance that keeps the wheel in contact with the ground more consistently. The technology also reduces bottom-outs by 39% compared to standard air springs through its pronounced rising rate in the final 30% of the stroke. Geometry is optimized for versatility, delivering big bike capability when needed, nimble handling in tight sections, and efficient climbing characteristics.
