The Hope MTB Floating Centre-Lock disc brake rotor is a high-performance option designed for demanding applications. Constructed in two parts, the aluminum center provides weight savings while the specially formulated laser-cut 410 stainless-steel braking surface can handle high temperatures without warping. The true floating design allows 1 degree of freedom so the outer is always free to expand when subjected to heat. The CNC machined aluminum center is stiff and lightweight, offering the advantages of a thicker fixed disc without the weight penalty. The aluminum center also acts as a heat sink to keep disc temperatures lower for reliable braking. The laser-cut and heat-treated 410 stainless steel braking surface provides increased life and oxidation prevention.
