The Crux DSW is the lightest alloy gravel bike ever made, combining everything learned from creating the carbon Crux with Specialized's patented D'Aluisio Smartweld technology. It delivers the most capable, nimble, balanced, and responsive alloy gravel bike for fast, fun, high-performance riding. At just 1399 grams in the 56cm lightest colorway, the Crux DSW is the lightest alloy gravel frame in the world. When paired with the Fact12r Crux carbon fork and a performance-curated build, a complete Crux DSW weighs just 9.37kg—unmatched by any other alloy gravel bike. The frame offers the same tire clearance as its carbon sibling, accommodating 47mm tires and up to 2.1" on a 650b wheel. This capability, combined with the tough and light alloy frame, allows the Crux DSW to handle any terrain at full speed. D'Aluisio Smartweld is a patented engineering process using hydroforming to precisely match tube-to-tube joints for stronger welds and a lighter frame that can be twice as durable as traditional alloy frames. This technique creates a unique single-piece downtube and bottom bracket, shaving weight and amplifying responsiveness. The frame delivers responsive handling at the pedals and suppleness in the saddle through performance gravel geometry and race-influenced fit. A longer reach provides better weight distribution for quick, confident handling, while a lower stack creates a performance-first position. At 72mm of bottom-bracket drop, the geometry balances nimbleness with stability.
